We worked our way north from Utah past Flaming Gorge and camped off the road in Uintas National Forest where we received a rude awakening by a herd of cattle So we continued down the road past the cows and the sheep until we arrived at our next camp among the wildflowers in time to watch the sun set behind the Tetons. We soon discovered that the wildflowers were everywhere as we awoke to a picture-perfect sunrise. We prepared for a hike up the slopes of Middle Teton until we once again hit the snow line where we turned to see beautiful views of Jackson Hole below . We could have easily stayed here and hiked many more days, but we felt the urge to pish on further west across the Great Divide Basin...
