The Rubbertramps at Home on The Front Range

For those who have never been to Rocky Mountain National Park, you will see why it has always been a favorite of mine. We arrived with dreams of ascending to the summit of Longs Peak at 14,252 feet, but the upper reaches were still snowed in heavily. This, however, did not prevent us from attaining a few less lofty heights with great splendor. We found the summit of Estes Cone to provide some spectacular views without wearing your shorts through (inside joke, get it Todd?). We did a nice hike up past the wildflowers to The Loch and then on up past the waterfall and through the snowfields on up to Sky Pond.

The park has become infamous for its varmints who went to great lengths to get in our food.
