Much has already been written about the Oregon Coast and all for good reason. We arrived as thye morning fog lifted to reveal the volcanic beaches
where ancient lava flows plunged into the sea. It's great fun to explore among the crystalline tide pools where the anemonae
and sea stars ase washed by the cool waves. In places the waves thundered into lava tubes where the water spouted into the air.
We continued our coastal saunter among the driftwood into the evening before making camp in the coastal forest beside a rocky creek
We continued to wander the coast the next day at a state park where the blooming bluffs sheltered rocks where seabirds and seals raised their young.
We found a nice campground on the beach at a tide flat where the herons hunted before crossing the mighty Columbia. We cruised up the Washington coast where would begin our next hunt for big game...
